A Nampa man arrested for illegally taking his children and driving them to Portland pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges of custodial interference Tuesday, according to court documents.
Joshua Reavis, 31, was accused of taking his children across state lines in May. When the two toddlers were reported missing, Nampa police issued an Amber Alert because of concerns the children might be in danger.
Reavis was stopped in Portland May 20, hours after the alert was issued. The two children were found safe, and Reavis was arrested and charged with two felony counts of custodial interference. Those charges were ultimately bumped down to misdemeanors, according to court documents.
