A man missing since Tuesday when he attempted to swim across the Snake River near Celebration Park, was found dead amidst a Canyon County Search.
Cody Dossett, 22, attempted to reach the other side of the river when he encountered trouble about 20 feet from the bank. Two adults tried to rescue him, but couldn’t reach him before he went under.
Canyon and Owyhee counties teamed up and combined resources to search for the man.
It wasn’t until Friday night that the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office Lake Patrol discovered Dossett’s body in the river, according to a sheriff’s office press release.
