A Caldwell man died after crashing his motorcycle on an Interstate 84 on-ramp late Thursday night, Idaho State Police report.
Robert Farris, 41, of Caldwell, was driving east on the ramp near mile marker 27 around 10:50 p.m. when his Harley Davidson struck a concrete island, throwing Farris off the bike.
Farris, who was not wearing a helmet, died from his injuries.
The on-ramp was closed for nearly two hours while crews cleared the scene, according to ISP, which is still investigating the fatal crash.

On Friday, friends of Farris set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for his funeral, with any funds left over going to Farris' two sons. As of 7 p.m., 27 people had donated a total of $1,705 in nine hours.
