A preliminary hearing for Joshua Reavis is scheduled for June 16 in Canyon County.
Reavis was arrested May 20 near Longview, Wash. – just north of Portland, Ore. – after authorities issued an Amber Alert for his two children, ages 2 and 3. Washington State Patrol reported the children were in Reavis’ car.
Reavis is charged with felony custodial interference, a felony. The maximum and minimum penalties for that crime are unclear.
Reavis was arraigned Thursday, and his bond was set at $500,000. He was also ordered not to contact the children, Canyon County spokesman Joe Decker said in an email.
