Police: I-84 Motorcycle chase reaches speeds of 100 mph, driver not yet in custody

A motorcycle chase reached speeds of 100 mph on Interstate 84 through Caldwell, before officers terminated the pursuit, according to Caldwell Police Department.

At about 2:45 p.m. officers attempted to pull over Kenneth Holmes, who was driving the motorcycle with an unknown female passenger on the back of the bike, because he was driving on a suspended driver's license. Officers also discovered the motorcycle was stolen. Holmes sped away from officers and took exit 29 onto westbound I-84. When he hit 100 mph officers stopped the chase for safety reasons, police said.

Holmes and his passenger were both riding the motorcycle without helmets, police said.

Payette County Deputies found the motorcycle off of Highway 52 around 5:30 p.m., but not Holmes or the passenger, according to police.

Officers are asking the public for information regarding Holmes and the female passenger so the two can be questioned about the chase.
