Christopher W. Lowe, 50, went off the road while driving along a curve Wednesday at milepost 58.5 of U.S. 95, Idaho State Police say.
His 2016 Toyota Camry went down an embankment, hit the side of a dirt driveway and went into the air.
It stopped in a field on the west side of the highway.
Lowe, who was not wearing a seat belt, had been heading north on U.S. 95. (ISP originally said he was southbound.)
ISP believes his crash happened sometime after midnight. The agency says it was called to investigate it at 9:24 a.m. “Lowe had succumbed to his injuries by the time the crash was located this morning,” a press release from the agency states.
Lowe’s next of kin has been notified. The crash remains under investigation.
