People will have a chance to meet Boise’s Kristin Armstrong Aug. 28 at a public event celebrating the cyclist’s third Olympic gold medal.

Boise Mayor David Bieter’s office hasn’t release much more in the way of details yet for the event, except that there will be a variety of games, activities, music and food for all ages.

The event is scheduled to run from 1 to 4 p.m. at Boise’s Municipal Park, located at 500 S. Walnut St.

Idaho's three-time Olympic gold medal winner Kristin Armstrong receives a warm welcome from hundreds of fans at the Boise Airport as she returns home from the Olympic Games in Rio Monday Aug. 15, 2016.
