Boise Police Department officers discovered 3 pounds of meth and $10,000 in cash while investigating reported drug trafficking, according to a BPD release.
Debra Payton, 58, of Nampa and Maira Alvarado, 32, of Porterville, California, were arrested and each charged with trafficking methamphetamine, according to the release.
The suspects were reportedly carrying the 3 pounds of meth, which had a street value of $15,000, and the cash. The Boise narcotics investigation team served a search warrant after an investigation in Boise that led them to a Nampa home, according to the release.
Both Alvarado and Payton’s next court appearance will be a preliminary hearing on Aug. 3.
