Jack Thomas, 66, was last seen entering the Sawtooth Wilderness Recreation Area on June 13 via the Queen’s River trail head, which is 7 miles north of Atlanta. When he didn’t return home at the expected time, crews began searching for him.

Now, his family has released a poster including information on the gear he was carrying, his clothing and his physical appearance.

Elmore and Boise county crews searched for Thomas for several days, bringing in search and rescue teams from several counties, aid from the Idaho National Guard and two private search companies. The search was called off June 27, and a private organization, the Jon Francis Foundation, took over.

If you have seen Thomas, or have any information call the Jon Francis Foundation at 612-963-6772. If you found Thomas, you’re urged to call 911 or the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office at 208-587-2121.
