Thousands of spectators watched professional and amateur cyclists compete on the streets of Downtown Boise on July 12, 2015. The route has changed for the 2016 race. It will start and end at the Idaho Capitol.

More than 300 cyclists are expected to participate in the 30th annual Twilight Criterium race on a new route, according to a press release from race organizers.

This year the race will start and finish in front of the Idaho Statehouse. Cyclists will cruise around 6th and 9th streets on Bannock Street, according to the release.

The race’s expo will take place in Capitol Park and will host vendors and nonprofit booths.

“We’re thrilled to take the lead as title sponsor of this year’s Twilight Criterium,” said Wade Woodard, race organizer partner, in a statement. “This race is vital to Boise’s cycling culture and is one of the biggest spectator events on the Criterium circuit. And with this being an anniversary year, turnout should be stronger than ever.”
