The Cabin hires former Idaho Historical Museum visitor services director as new executive director

The Cabin, an organization that promotes literary education in Idaho, announced the hire of their new executive director, Kurt Zwolfer.

The announcement came a couple months after the former executive director, Britt Udesen left Boise to work at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, Minn.

The Cabin’s Board of Directors sent out a press release and said they chose Zwolfer because of his writing and education background as well as his experience directing visitor services at the Idaho Historical Museum.

“In its search, the Board sought an Executive Director who could build on the center’s strong history and fuel the creativity and momentum of recent years in which the Cabin has effectively positioned itself with a broader audience,” said past-president Karen Baerlocher in a statement. “Kurt will be a passionate and effective champion of The Cabin’s mission and will quickly become a creative partner in Boise’s growing cultural community.”
