Cooler temperatures and possible thunderstorms over the Labor Day weekend prompted the decision by Ada County Parks & Waterways, according to a Wednesday news release.
Raft and tube rentals, the Barber Park shuttle service and the pay parking kiosk will close Saturday and Sunday. They’ll then reopen Monday before closing for good for the year.
The National Weather Service on Wednesday predicted a 20 percent chance of afternoon or evening thunderstorms and a high in the upper 60s for Saturday in Boise. Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high in the mid-70s.
