This weekend, drivers should plan for closures at all three of the Treasure Valley Interstate 84 interchanges that are being rebuilt, according to Idaho Transportation Department.
Here is what drivers can expect from Friday, Aug. 28, through Monday, Aug. 31:

: Gowen will be closed in both directions from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights as crews excavate and pave the roadway. On both nights Gowen will be closed from Eisenman Road to the railroad bridge just east of Production Street. Drivers should plan for overnight lane restrictions and flagging in this area as crews are working.
•Meridian Road interchange
: Meridian Road will be closed in both directions between the I-84 ramps on Saturday night from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Crews will be installing the structure for the new interchange’s permanent traffic signal. When the signal is activated in early September, all turns through the Meridian interchange will be controlled from a central point. This configuration is called a single-point urban interchange, or a SPUI.
•Broadway Avenue interchange
: On- and off-ramps will be closed overnight Saturday through Monday. Flaggers will direct traffic while the ramps are closed. In general, closures will be in place from 9:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. Crews will be placing a top layer of pavement on the ramps, which are part of the newly constructed single-point urban interchange.
At each interchange, message boards will be placed along I-84 and local roads to alert motorists of the closures and detours. Signage and flaggers will be placed along the detour routes to help guide and direct drivers.
Construction of all interstate improvements in the Treasure Valley is in the final phase, and will be complete late this year.
