The Boise Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a suspect in a reported assault case from Aug. 11.
According to witness accounts, a man erratically driving a silver or gray passenger car shouted at a cyclist near the intersection of East Warm Springs Avenue and South Caddis Way at about 11 p.m. that day. Then the man left his vehicle, punched the cyclist in the face and threatened the cyclist. The driver reportedly then got back into his car and drove over the bicycle before fleeing the scene, police said.
The driver was described as being a darker-skinned man, about 6 feet tall and about 210 pounds. He was said to have short dark hair and was wearing a yellow T-shirt and shorts, but no shoes. His vehicle was reported as being a 2000 or later model, police said.
