Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Idaho 55, just north of Banks Tuesday afternoon, according to Idaho State Police.
Michael Stwan, 49, of Boise, was driving his 2003 Kia Sorento north on Idaho 55 near mile marker 81 when he crossed the center line and crashed into Eric Larson, 54, of Boise, driving a 2012 Buick Regal south. Stwan’s vehicle flipped over and caught fire, according to ISP.
Logging truck drivers stopped to assist in the crash and used their fire extinguishers to put out the blaze, according to ISP.
Stwan and Larson were both transported to the hospital.

ISP responded at about 3:50 p.m. and blocked the road for about 3 hours.
