Patriot Thunder roars toward Mountain Home for a good cause

About 650 riders roared across Interstate 84 from Meridian to Mountain Home for the sixth annual Patriot Thunder ride Sunday, according to Ada County Highway District.

Bikers could sign up for the charity ride with a donation that would go to the Idaho National Guard Family Support Fund and Operation Warm Heart, according to an event flyer.

The motorcade took up I-84 Sunday morning as it passed through Meridian and Boise toward Mountain Home. A police escort ensured the event would proceed safely. Riders finished the day off with a barbecue in Mountain Home and went home independently, according to ACHD.
