Truck caused Boise, Garden City morning power outage

All 1,372 customers affected had their power restored by 1 p.m. Monday, Idaho Power announced on its Twitter account.

A truck hit a pole, knocking down lines, according to the utility.

Idaho Power first confirmed the outage in parts of Boise and Garden City at about 8:20 a.m. By 10 a.m., power had been restored to all but a few neighborhoods along East Chinden Boulevard in Garden City.

Those originally without electricity were generally between the Ada County Fairgrounds west to Five Mile Road and between Cloverdale and Locust Grove roads.
