ISP trooper injured in motorcycle crash on I-84 in Boise

Motorcycle trooper Ben Comoroskey was responding to a different crash and headed east just past Cole Road when he crashed at about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Idaho State Police reports.

An ambulance took Comoroskey to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening, according to an ISP news release.

The left two lanes of eastbound I-84 between the Cole Road and Orchard Street exits were blocked for approximately two hours.

Comorosky crashed at milepost 51, but no information about what caused him to crash was released Tuesday afternoon. The news release did not mention any other vehicles being involved.

The Boise Police Department responded to the crash and is leading the investigation.
