Fourth of July revelers can make a splash this year down Americana Boulevard on a 1,000 foot slip-and-slide, according to a Wednesday Slide the City press release.
2015 will be the second year the extra-large slip-and-slide will take up a Boise street for summer fun, but this time it will be wider and on July 4. The slide is also going to be positioned on a steeper incline so sliders can zip faster, according to the release.
"By July 4 we will have successfully completed 30 Slide the City events," said TR Gourley, event organizer.
"We are more prepared and have made adjustments so that this year will be epic."

In 2014 4,000 residents splashed down a slip-and-slide that took up three blocks of Protest Road.
Early ticket prices are $28 and day-of tickets are $45. Proceeds from the event will go to the for-profit organization Slide the City, with a portion of the profits donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, according to the release.
