Orchard Street traffic south of Fairview Avenue will slow down from April 13 to late May due to construction work, according to an Idaho Transportation Department press release.
The construction work is maintenance to extend the lifespan of 10 bridges along the Connector. Orchard Street will be reduced to one lane both ways between Bond and Irving streets starting Monday, according to the release. The speed limit will be 25 mph on Orchard Street and 50 mph on the Connector.
Interstate 184 will also be reduced to two lanes in the area. The on-ramp to the Connector from Fairview Avenue will be closed Monday and Tuesday night while the contractor removes the concrete from the Orchard Street Bridge.
