One person was transported to the hospital after a car crash Saturday morning on Interstate 84 near Eagle Road, according to Idaho State Police.
Leilani Richards, 36, of Boise, was driving east in her 1991 Jeep Cherokee in a construction zone on I-84 when she hit the safety barrels and then the cement barrier. She rolled the vehicle and it landed on wheels, according to ISP.
ISP responded to a call of a crash on I-84 near milepost 46 at about 5:30 a.m. Richards was transported to the hospital, but she was discharged later Saturday.
Richards is a former Idaho Statesman employee, and recently took over a management position with Global Ad Distribution, which contracts with the Idaho Statesman's distribution department.
The crash is still under investigation. Richards had been wearing her seatbelt at the time of the incident, according to ISP.
