6:53 a.m. -- Boise police investigate trash can fires in North End neighborhood

Boise police are investigating a couple trash can fires that happened in the North End early this morning.

The fires happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of Pleasanton and near the corner of 25th and Jefferson Street.

No injuries were reported in the incidents.

No houses were reported damaged.

They’re called Michigan lefts, median U-turns, thru-turns. Boise has one. Road planners propose to ban a left turn and replacing it with a median-U turn where State Street meets Glenwood Street and Gary Lane.
