Traffic in West Boise backed up Thursday afternoon around a structure fire in the 4500 block of North Cloverdale Road. Firefighters have largely left the scene but drivers still might want to avoid the area.
The fire was just south of Cloverdale’s intersection with McMillan Road. Southbound Cloverdale was blocked starting at about 2:25 p.m., according to the Ada County Highway District’s website.
The flames ended up affecting only one room of the house involved, said Char Jackson, Boise Fire Department spokeswoman. Firefighters were looking into whether it was linked to a car hitting a nearby power pole.
No one was hurt, and no one was home at the time except a dog that first responders rescued, Jackson said.
