Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly sent a video message to two injured Boise Police Department officers Tuesday.
“I know you guys are big fans and you’re going through a rough spot, but I know you guys will keep fighting like champions,” he said to Cpl. Chris Davis and Cpl. Kevin Holtry who were injured Nov. 11 in a gunfight with fugitive Marco Romero.
Romero died in the fight and he shot and injured Davis and Holtry. Police dog Jardo was also fatally injured in the fight.
