Nathan L. Garrett died of blunt-force trauma after he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving, the Ada County Coroner’s Office reported Wednesday.
Garrett, 34, was test-driving a Kawasaki Ninja 250 Tuesday night near Larchmont Place and Woodbury Drive when he crashed into a curb, flipped the bike and hit his head on the pavement, Tracy Basterrechea, deputy chief of the Meridian Police Department, said.
Speed appears to have been a factor in the crash, police said, and the rider was not wearing a helmet.
The coroner’s news release reports that Garrett died about 9 p.m. on Woodbury Drive .
