Andrew Clark, 28, wasn’t wearing a helmet when he hit a concrete barrier along the Boise Connector Sunday evening, Idaho State Police say.
The Grants Pass, Ore., resident was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. Hospital spokesman Joshua Schlaich said Clark was in critical condition Monday morning.
Clark was driving a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle east on the Connector when he lost control of the bike around mile marker 3 and crashed into a concrete barrier on the right shoulder around 8:10 p.m.
The crash blocked the eastbound freeway’s right lane for about 2 1/2 hours.
