The city of Boise will open up the Boise Depot, one of the city’s most beloved historic sites, to the public for a special open house from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 8.
Bring your donations for Toys for Tots and enjoy a slew of free festivities. The evening will include two train sets to see courtesy of Hardwoods Hardware Hobbies: the Peanut Christmas Train and Animated G-Scale Holiday Express Train.
Kids can enjoy free painting by Boise Little Theatre Student Club and everyone can dine on Sweet Pitkin’s Comfort Food. Warm drinks that will be for sale throughout the evening. Silver Brass will present a musical performance starting at 5:45 p.m.
Depot tour guide Eriks Garsvo will offer free guided tour at 6:30 p.m. Note: space is limited for Garsvo’s always popular tours, so secure your place online.

The holiday display and toy drive will continue on Sundays and Mondays from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. through Jan. 9 during free public drop-in hours. (The Depot is closed on legal holidays.)
