Emmett man dies in head-on crash on Idaho 16

Lonnie Sellars, 59, was driving north at milepost 110 south of Emmett about 12:30 p.m. when his Subaru station wagon crossed the center line and collided head-on with a pickup truck, Idaho State Police report.

The Dodge Ram truck, driven by Katelyn Womack, 21, of Emmett, went off the right shoulder and came to rest on its top, ISP reports. Womack was taken by ambulance to Valor Health in Emmett. Sellars died at the scene, ISP reports.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to an ISP news release.

Both lanes of travel on Idaho 16 were blocked for approximately two and a half hours while crews worked to clear the scene. The crash is under investigation.
