Meridian motorcyclist killed in Idaho 55 crash

The Meridian man died at the scene of the crash on Idaho 55 near Horseshoe Bend around noon on Sunday, according to an Idaho State Police press release.

Kevin Guth, 52, was riding a 2016 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound when he crossed the center line, colliding with a 2007 Chrysler minivan driven by 34-year-old Kristy White, according to the release. Guth was then hit by a 2007 Nissan Xterra driven by 20-year-old Tyler Shipp of Payette.

Guth, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene of the crash due to injuries, according to the release. White, of Spirit Lake, was flown to St. Alphonsus in Boise by air ambulance. Her passengers, 36-year-old Michael White and four minor children, as well as Shipp were not hospitalized, police said.

Police said all involved in the accident were wearing seat belts. ISP is investigating the crash, which blocked the highway for nearly four hours.
