Two people were taken to a local hospital with what appear to be minor injuries Tuesday evening after a car hit a motorcycle during rush hour on the westbound Interstate 184 Connector, Boise police report.
The crash was reported around 5:25 p.m. at the Chinden off-ramp. The ramp was closed for more than an hour while crews investigated and clear the scene, an Ada County Dispatch supervisor said.
A female driver was exiting the Connector when she ran into stopped traffic, hitting a motorcycle and pushing it into an SUV, Boise police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said. The woman is being cited for inattentive driving, a misdemeanor, Hightower said.
The motorcycle driver was wearing a helmet and a heavy jacket that protected him from the impact, she said. He and the female driver were taken to a hospital but appear to have avoided serious injuries, Hightower said.
