The showers that fell on and off over the weekend in the Treasure Valley helped clear away smoke from wildfires burning outside Boise. The Walker fire was 96 percent contained as of Sunday evening, meaning the smoke is likely gone.
Air quality, which had reached unhealthy ranges last week, was in the good category Monday morning, with showers continuing for much of Monday. The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality forecasts continued good air quality Tuesday.
Daytime temperatures are expected to stay in the mid-60s through the week.
According to InciWeb, the human-caused Walker Fire is expected to be fully contained Wednesday. It started Saturday, Oct. 10.
