A one-vehicle crash on Bogus Basin Road briefly closed the road Tuesday evening while emergency crews responded.
Ada County sheriff’s deputies responded just before 6 p.m., said agency spokesman Patrick Orr.
Orr said the 71-year-old driver was headed north when he lost control of his SUV. The SUV went down the right side of the road and down an embankment, coming to a stop after about 50 feet.
The man was the SUV’s lone occupant, Orr said. “He was able to get out of the wreckage and walk up to the road by the time our deputies arrived.”

The driver’s name has not been released. He was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center to have non-life-threatening injuries treated, Orr said.
It took about two hours for workers to remove the SUV.
