No one was injured in a five-vehicle chain reaction crash on Interstate 84 at Meridian Friday afternoon that closed one westbound lane of the freeway for about an hour, Idaho State Police report.
David Foruria, 54, of Emmett, was headed west in a 1987 Ford Bronco when the traffic in front of him slowed about 2:40 p.m., ISP reports. Foruria braked, but his SUV struck the rear of a Toyota Camry driven by Leah Clements, 55, of Fruitland, knocking it into a Dodge Charger driven by Kholbek Boynazarov, 19, of Meridian. The Charger then hit a Subaru Forester driven by Sharon Anitok, 54, of Boise, was ahead of the Charger in a 2009 Subaru Forester. Meanwhile, a Ford Taurus driven by Mallory Dardis, 19, of Nampa hit the rear of the Ford Bronco.
All occupants were wearing their seatbelts, ISP reports. The crash is under investigation.
