A Middleton man is dead after a two-vehicle accident on South Highway 44 near Middleton Friday, according to Idaho State Police.
Nicholas Alvarez, age 25 of Middleton, was driving his 2006 Yamaha dirt bike north on Lansing Lane. When he drove into the intersection at South Highway 44 he was struck by Jonathan Kofoed, 18, of Middleton, driving a 2006 Ford Mustang, according to ISP.
Alvarez died at the scene of the crash, according to ISP.
Everyone in the Mustang was wearing seatbelts. Alvarez had not been wearing a helmet, according to ISP.
