Laverle Breshears, 57, a Boise chiropractor, died Tuesday at a local hospital.
Breshears owned Breshears Chiropractic Life Center at 7750 Crestwood Drive.
Earlier this year, the Idaho Board of Chiropractic Physicians found Breshears had violated the law in his care of eight patients. As the Statesman reported July 1, the board accused him of poor care, exploiting patients for financial gain and violating other laws regulating chiropractors. The board ordered the suspension of Breshears’ license for 60 days, put him on probation, required continuing education and ordered him to pay a fine and other costs.
Breshears sued the board in April, contesting the suspension order and the other penalties. The case had not yet been set for trial.
