A public meeting on a future 47-acre park in Meridian will be held Thursday, July 30, at Meridian City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Ave.
The meeting, hosted by the city’s parks and recreation department, will run from 6:30- 8 p.m.
The department wants to get the community’s input on what features the park should include, such as sports fields to pathways, picnic shelters, a playground and an off-leash dog area. The land for the park is near Cherry Lane and McDermott Road.
Those who attend the July 30 meeting can view conceptual designs for the park and provide feedback.
“Our parks are one of the area’s amenities that Meridian residents deeply value, so it’s very important to us to involve the community in our future planning efforts,” Meridian Parks and Recreation Director Steve Siddoway said in a press release Thursday. “We hope to see many residents at this public meeting and to gather as much input as possible.”
