This typically the hottest time of the year for Boise, but moist systems coming in from the southwest are cooling things down a bit, according to the National Weather Service.
Tuesday night was cloudy, and the airport recorded .02 inches of precipitation. Another hundredth of an inch fell Wednesday morning.
Wednesday will be cloudy, with a high of 88 – that’s about five degrees cooler than the normal high at this time of year. There’s a 30 percent chance of rain this afternoon, and about the same for the evening. Overnight lows will be in the 60s.
Thursday will be similar. The forecast high is 85, and there’s a 30 percent chance of rain.
The skies will clear up Friday, when drier air expected to move in. The high will be about 88.
The weekend will be sunny and dry, with highs around 90.
