So far, two eastern Oregon communities already have.
Vale City Council unanimously voted to ban the sale of medical and recreational marijuana at their July 14 meeting, according to Lynn Findley, city manager.
Nyssa City Council also banned the sale of medical and recreational marijuana, according to a KIVI Channel 6 report.

Eastern Oregon counties have been resistant to legalizing recreational pot from the get-go, so municipalities and counties that voted more than 55 percent against legalizing recreational weed were given the option of banning the commercial aspects.
