The Emmett hospital, once known as the Walter Knox Memorial Hospital, underwent a name change and is now called Valor Health.
The name change comes as the hospital tries to reach out to shifting regional population and changing demographics, according to a press release from the hospital.
“Honoring our past and the generosity of the Knox family is very important to us and we will continue to do so as we move forward. Our renaming is about embracing our future and recognizing that we need to be the change our community deserves,” said Wade Johnson, Valor Health CEO in the press release.
The hospital has been "enhancing services to meet community needs," by hiring new physicians and changing up departments, according to the release.
