A motorcyclist was hospitalized after crashing into the back of a minivan near the entrance of Veterans Memorial Park Friday afternoon. The accident was reported at 2:06 p.m.
The man, who was conscious when paramedics arrived, suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, Boise Police Sgt. Loren Hillyard said. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Hillyard said the motorcyclist was traveling north in a line of vehicles on Veterans Memorial Parkway. The driver of the minivan slowed because another vehicle was braking for a girl who fell off her skateboard into the road. The girl was not injured, and she was released from the scene.
