Lawsuit against Idaho State Trooper voluntarily dismissed

A Washington man has dropped his lawsuit against an Idaho State Police trooper.

Darien Roseen sued ISP Trooper Justin Klitch alleging unreasonable search and seizure during a January 2013 traffic stop in Payette County. Roseen also claimed Klitch profiled, followed and pulled him over because he had Colorado license plates.

Both parties filed a motion to voluntarily dismiss the case with prejudice on June 19. No costs or attorney fees were awarded.

Roseen’s attorney, Eric Swartz, could not be reached for comment on why his client is no longer pursuing the case or if there was a settlement.
