Two injured in one-vehicle crash Sunday night

Idaho State Police is investigating a one-vehicle crash that sent two to the hospital on Sunday evening.

Around 4:30 p.m., Alvis Davis, 22, and passenger Trevor Sheehan, 20, of Boise were headed west Interstate 84 in a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup when Davis fell asleep at the wheel, according to ISP. The vehicle went off the road and Davis overcorrected, causing the pickup to roll and come to a stop on the right shoulder at milepost 62 near the Blacks Creek Rest Area.

Davis and Sheehan were taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise — Davis by ground ambulance and Sheehan by air. Sheehan is in critical condition and Davis is in fair condition.

Davis and Sheehan were wearing seatbelts, according to the ISP report.
