Man jailed on charge he threatened Boise pharmacist with a knife

Ian B. Higdem, 28, remained in the Ada County Jail on a felony aggravated assault charge Monday night after he reportedly threatened a Boise pharmacist with a knife Sunday afternoon.

Boise police were called to a pharmacy on State Street about 1:35 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses reported a man had walked up to the counter smelling strongly of alcohol, pulled a knife and threatened the pharmacist. A bike patrol officer soon located a man matching the assailant’s description passed out in a nearby alley, police said. Police booked Higdem, who reportedly has no permanent address, into jail.
