Two injured in crash on Horseshoe Bend Hill

Idaho State Police is investigating a crash on Horseshoe Bend Hill that sent two individuals to the hospital on Sunday.

Manuel Zavala Diaz was northbound in a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am on State Highway 55 when he crossed over the center lane and side-swiped a 2001 Subaru Impreza driven by Ashlee Gorbet, who was headed south.

Tailer J. Gorbet, a passenger in the Subaru, and Diaz were both transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The condition of both individuals is unknown at this time.

Occupants of both vehicles were wearing seatbelts, an ISP report said.

The incident blocked the slow lane on the southbound side of Highway 55 for approximately two and a half hours. The crash is still under investigation by ISP.
