UPDATE: Motorcycle versus car accident sends one to the hospital, causes delays

A car and motorcycle collided at Rose Hill and Owyhee streets about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, an Ada County dispatcher reports.

The motorcyclist, Ferris Armstrong, 50, of Boise, was driving east on Rose Hill when Christi Young, 38, of Boise, driving north on Owyhee, crashed into him, according to police.

Armstrong was conscious and alert after the accident, but was still transported to the hospital to treat injuries, police said.

Young had a stop sign, so was cited for proceeding when unsafe to do so. Armstrong got unrelated citations for not having proof of insurance or a valid driver’s license. Armstrong was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, police said.

That stretch of Rose Hill was blocked to traffic while Boise police investigated.
