Vigil will honor Nepalese earthquake victims Tuesday night at Boise State campus

The death toll from a magnitude-7.8 earthquake in Nepal continues to rise, with more than 4,400 estimated killed as of Tuesday morning.

Idaho’s Nepalese community is trying to raise $50,000 to aid the disaster victims. So far they’ve raised $2,433. Click here to see the YouCaring page where donations may be made.

A vigil in honor of the earthquake victims is planned for 7 p.m. on the Quad at the Boise State campus, university spokeswoman Kathleen Tuck said. Boise State Radio spoke with one of the organizers, who is a member of BSU’s Nepalese Students Association. Listen to that interview here.
