After a year of fundraising, the Harmon Killebrew Miracle Field in Payette will hold its grand opening and first Miracle Game at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 16. The field is part of the Payette Sports Complex behind McCain Middle School.
The Harmon Killebrew Miracle Field is a baseball field designed for players with special needs and disabilities.
Festivities continue at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 17, with a special dinner at McCain Middle School. Tickets are $20. Nita Killebrew is the guest speaker.
Games, live music, rock climbing and paintball will all take place at the field from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.

Individuals, organizations and businesses donated more than $188,000 to build the Miracle Field. It features a rubberized playing turf that is safe for children with disabilities and can accommodate walkers, wheelchairs and crutches.
