A car crashed into a Boise Popeyes Sunday morning and caused extensive damage, according to Boise Police Department.
The incident was called in at 1:15 a.m. A man had been driving his subuaru west on West Fairview Avenue and a distraction caused him to lose focus. He crashed into the Popeyes located on the 8800 block of West Fairview Avenue, police said.
The driver was transported to the hospital, but his injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
Popeyes was open for business Sunday, but plywood had been used to board up the front of the building.
