Rescuers found the body of Hal Blanton, 61, Sunday morning southeast of McCall.
Blanton flew into the Willey Ranch on Wednesday to hunt for antlers. When he failed to show up Saturday morning at a pre-arranged pickup location, the pilot called Valley County emergency dispatchers to report Blanton missing.
Members of Valley County Search and Rescue, the Idaho Army National Guard and others began searching for Blanton on Saturday afternoon. The search and rescue teams found his body at about 9:51 a.m., according to a release Monday from Lt. Dan Smith from the Valley County Sheriff’s Office.
No cause of death has been determined but Blanton’s death does not appear to be suspicious, Smith said.
