Meridian man dies from injuries sustained in 4 a.m. motorcycle crash

A 52-year-old Meridian man who crashed his motorcycle early Wednesday on Interstate 84 has died, according to the Idaho State Police.

The crash occurred around 4 a.m. at the interstate’s eastbound Broadway Avenue exit when Gary Rupert was driving a 2002 Honda motorcycle. He failed to handle the curve of the ramp, his motorcycle turned onto its side, and came to rest in the roadway at the top of the off-ramp, according to Idaho State Police.
